Neck pain is a sensation of discomfort or pain in the neck region. Sometimes, neck pain is also called Cervical pain. It can be acute and chronic. Acute neck pain is severe with shooting or stabbing pain that referred to shoulder and arm. Also, it includes vomiting, nausea, chills, and loss of appetite in severe cases. Chronic neck pain is a pain for a long duration of time, simply, more than six weeks. Chronic neck pain radiates down to the arms and fingers. Neck pain can be due to injury, trauma, infection, bad posture, prolonged sitting, degenerative disc disease, Cervical spondylosis, herniated disc, pinched nerve, psychosocial problems and stress etc. Treatment of neck pain depends upon its causes.
